How Port Of Tyne is leading the way for contractor compliance.

With such a large estate, with a diversity of cargoes handling ranges from cars to containers and bulk goods to renewable energy and offshore. The Port of Tyne want to ensure goods move safely, securely and efficiently wherever they need to be across they multiple access points.

Before Verature…

With Verature…

Port of Tyne had come against some minor incidents and struggled for control over compliance information and being able to share data across teams easily.

All compliance and healthy and safety information in one central location to bring data and information together simply and easily, improving productivity so nothing gets missed.

Using paper processes that lacked efficient control and security. All data is secured with username and password login settings and user permission functionality.
Paper and spreadsheets had more chances of human error. Streamlined automation that standardises data input with an alerts and escalations processes so there is no room for error.
Using Excel spreadsheets to manage data had become unsuitable and unfit for agile business practices and manage scalability growth. Configured with specific built-in workflows, mandatory fields, and approvals ensuring the Ports compliance regime is followed 100% of the time and grows alongside changing business requirements.
Information across paper and spreadsheets was difficult to share internally and enable collaborative work. Multiple user access with the ability to store and share any data or documents internally, and a Contractor Assurance Portal to work more collaboratively with their approved contractors.
Contractor information in multiple places, such as paper, spreadsheets and email chains were more vulnerable and becoming lost data and not easily visible for review. Managing all key contractor data in one central system; automating and streamlining the collection of contractor data, reducing costs owing to the elimination of manual errors.
Multiple and various site induction material to schedule and manually share, review and manage throughout the contractor approval process. Easily distributing their specific and multiple pre-qualifying induction videos and questionnaires, benefiting from remote inductions with verification questions which can only be answered with attention to the video content.

The Port of Tyne is all about innovation and efficiency, that is why they chose Verature to manage their contractor compliance efficiently and effectively across their site.
